What changed on July 13, 2026

When you mark a project complete, SmartProperty now walks you through updating the reserve study components that project replaced, so your study reflects the work without waiting for the annual true-up.

Completing a project now updates your reserve study

A reserve study used to be a snapshot. You replaced a roof, and the study kept showing the old useful life until someone corrected it by hand.

Now, marking a project Completed opens a short wizard covering the components that project touched:

  • Mark components that were replaced and removed
  • Reset useful life for what was replaced
  • Compare the estimated replacement cost against what the project actually cost

Your study updates in place, so a component replaced early shows up in your forecast right away rather than waiting for a reserve analyst to catch it.

Nothing needs to be turned on. The wizard appears whenever you complete a project that has reserve study components linked to it.

Task updates now reach the person assigned

If someone adds or removes a note, a photo, or a file on a project task, the person assigned to that task gets an email. This extends the task notifications that were already in place for assignments and status changes.

This applies to every project task automatically.
