Where the platform runs

The SmartProperty platform runs in Microsoft Azure and AWS. Most resources are hosted in the US West region, with redundancy across other US regions.

Security and data protection

Users sign in with a username and password. Role-based permissions limit each user to the communities, features, and functions their role allows.

Internally, SmartProperty requires multi-factor authentication for all systems that hold infrastructure or customer data.

All data is encrypted in transit and at rest.

The database is backed up automatically and keeps a redundant copy.

All cloud resources are continuously monitored for vulnerabilities and configuration risks.

Your data is yours

Data across the platform exports to Excel, including components, projects, transactions, maintenance tasks, and Portfolio Analytics. The reporting suite (funding plan, cash flow, financial health, 30-year projections, and more) exports to Excel and PDF.

Finding your files

Every community has a searchable File Library, so you can find any document by name without knowing which project it belongs to.

Working independently

Customers run the platform self-serve: updating components, managing projects and maintenance, connecting transactions, and generating reports. SmartProperty's analyst team is an optional service layer, most often used for initial reserve study digitization and onboarding, not a dependency for day-to-day work.

How the product evolves

New functionality ships continuously, typically weekly. Feedback comes in through your named account contact and support, and is prioritized through a formal product process. Larger customers typically have a standing cadence with our team.

Every customer has a named account contact who owns the relationship end to end, from onboarding through day-to-day questions.

SmartProperty connects to your accounting system of record and pulls financial data on a scheduled sync. Live integrations today: CINC Systems, Vantaca, and AppFolio. New partner integrations are built against our standard integration requirements.
